Ebonics in Writing

As the number of black authors and writers increase, creative stories feature what many people today call ebonics, which is a form of broken language used frequently, especially in the south.

As this happens, editors, you need to familiarize yourself with usage. But, don't allow authors to use that as an excuse for lazy, thoughtless and unintelligible writing either.
